“Seriously…Let’s Play”
Games of awareness and togetherness of decompression and letting go and and and and… from the world of body theater and theatrical clowning. For adults, children welcome.
Introduction to pregnancy yoga: a practical session for all.
‘Birthing is the most profound initiation to spirituality a woman can have’. Robin Lim.
Yoga brings together the mind, by giving you time to focus on what is truly important to you and to lay down constructive mental pathways. The body, by working on strength and suppleness through the breath. And the spirit by supporting the connection between mother and baby and the transition into motherhood. Yoga allows these three to flow in unison. It is therefore a fantastic way to prepare for the demanding physical and emotional effort of pregnancy, birth and parenthood.
I will be giving a brief introduction into pregnancy yoga. You do not need any previous experience with yoga, the practice can be tailored to your own personal needs.

Me:I am a woman, mother and midwife who believes in the transformative power of birth.
I have studied midwifery and worked in the UK. I have had two amazing birth experiences of my own, one in a midwife led unit and one at home.
I approach my life, work and studies with an open heart and mind. From this sensitive centre I offer tools that can empower women and families to have an informed, prepared and unique birth experience. The ripple effects of a confident and positive birth can affect the family, society and our world.

Communication is the determining factor for understanding between people and ourselves as we have several internal aspects. For effective communication, we need to express ourselves authentically and we need the ability to listen. Only if we listen to our needs will we be able to cover them.
The mental and emotional functions of men differ from the functions of women, which directly affects the way they communicate. The lack of understanding of these differences and the resulting difficulty in communication causes misunderstandings, feelings of loneliness, dissatisfaction and anger, despite the positive intentions on both sides.
It is also very important to respect the differences in thinking (and thus in speech) between adults and children so that we can communicate effectively and with love.
– What does it mean to “express myself”?
– How do I recognize and express my feelings? Can I say my opinion without anger and tension?
– How do I manage anxiety when I talk to an audience or people who are important to me?
– Why are we irritable when listening to the beliefs of other people?
– How does a man feel when he says: “… ..”
– What does a woman mean when she says: “… ..”
– Who is finally “right”?
– How should we talk to a child and how to a teenager?
For these (and many other) questions, we will try to provide answers through discussion and experiential exercises.
The workshop will be coordinated by Kalliopi Anthi, a mental health consultant

Open talk on physiological birth: Audience led discussion on pregnancy, labour and postpartum with a midwife.
Power comes from knowledge and understanding. I offer women and men a safe space to gain knowledge by asking questions that they may have regarding physiological pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period, what is the role of a midwife and how to optimise this life changing period in everyone’s life.

An inter-age theatre collective active in theatre practice, education and research
(in the broadest sense of ‘theatre’)
EN’s members belong to a variety of age groups.
Our fields are: movement, dance, improvisation, circus, contact, music and voice techniques, somatic and therapeutic methods, martial arts and acrobatics.
We create and present performances and educational programs for all ages and offer our structure as an open source model for public use.
Our structure, in terms of composition and in terms of organization in general is based on democratic council without age discrimination and nomadic theory and practice.
Our main tools are open scores, theatrical alchemy, the combination of performances and workshops and the use of various spaces beyond theater spaces.
We are inspired by the potential of our physical, mental and creative skills and by how unlimited their evolution can be. We are particularly concerned with the expansion and cultivation of the creative relationship between ages.
We approach art beyond cultural, geographical, social, age and specialization divisions, making partnerships outside the usual art making process.

With Saskia Handley and Val Androutsopoulou (qualified teachers of the European School of T’ai Chi Ch’uan www.meta-taichi.org.uk):
Yang long and short forms and Chen Sword form
every Wednesday and Saturday: 17:30-19:30
T’ai Chi Ch’uan, loosely translated as the Great Ultimate Fist, is an ancient Chinese martial art which is also a highly beneficial health system. It helps lower high blood pressure, increases blood circulation, relieves back pain and stress and with regular practice keeps the body flexible, the heart joyful and the mind alert.
The T’ai Chi movements, called Forms, are executed slowly and evenly to promote the flow of qi or energy throughout the body unimpeded. T’ai Chi has also been described as meditation in movement.
Due to the stress we all have to deal with in our lives it is important to find a way to deal with the noise and tension of everyday life and more and more people are looking to alternative methods. Doing the T’ai Chi Forms immediately places us in a state of tranquility where concentration and awareness is demanded thereby giving us the opportunity to really listen to what is going on within us. Practising T’ai Chi brings about a feeling of well-being, aliveness and joy.
The name T’ai Chi was first seen in the Book of Changes or I Ching and actually refers to the yin and yang polarities which symbolize the continual process of change in the universe. Healing exercises and breathing techniques as well as fighting systems can be traced back 4000 years. But the T’ai Chi as we know it today has been accredited to the Taoist sage Chang San Feng. It is said that Chang’s inspiration came from watching a fight between a bird and a snake where he noted how softness overcomes hardness and as a result of this observation he created the first T’ai Chi form.
Apart from training in the T’ai Chi forms there are also special exercises called Chi Kung. Chi Kung means working with the breath or energy. The movements are fairly simple and easy to learn and in coordination with the breath, the ch’i (vital essence) is stimulated and its flow directed through the meridians and throughout the whole system. Both T’ai Chi and Chi Kung calm the heart, keep one centred and open the body up to self awareness and self healing.
The first T’ai Chi workshop in Corfu was in 1989 with Tew Bunnag who started The Centre in Athens and founded The European School of T’ai Chi Ch’uan with centres in England, Spain and Greece. Tew Bunnag who was born in Bangkok, lectures and teaches all over the world.

“Tai-chi”
Tai chi , short for t’ai chi ch’üan, is an internal Chinese martial art practiced for both its defense training and its health benefits. The term taiji refers to a philosophy of the forces of yin and yang, related to the moves. Though originally conceived as a martial art, it is also typically practiced for a variety of other reasons: competitive wrestling in the format of pushing hands (tui shou), demonstration competitions, and achieving greater longevity. As a result, a multitude of training forms exist, both traditional and modern, which correspond to those aims with differing emphasis. Some training forms of tàijíquán are especially known for being practiced with relatively slow movements.
